Lock in your colour and help it last with Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative — a liquid treatment designed to reduce bleeding and fading while enhancing the intensity of dyed fabrics. Use it immediately after dyeing (before the final rinse and wash) to set the colour so your projects stay brighter and more colourfast over time.

It is especially useful after tie-dye, shibori or dip-dye projects to help prevent dye from bleeding into undyed areas. ColorStay also works on commercially dyed fabrics, making it a practical option for new garments that tend to release colour in the wash.

How to use (summary):
For every ½ kg (about 1 lb) of dry fabric, use approximately 120 ml (half a bottle) of ColorStay with enough hot water to cover the fabric. Immerse the item for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear, then wash with mild detergent. Always follow the full instructions on the packaging. For tie-dye or partially dyed items, keep the fabric bound or only treat the dyed areas to avoid unwanted bleeding.
